We are keen to appoint a Head Chef to oversee the operation of our culinary operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the culinary function, from the organisation of the kitchen to the sourcing of suppliers to a creative menu design, to enhance the overall dining experience.
Reporting to : General / Assistant Manager
Responsible for: Team of Chefs / Kitchen Porters
This role will involve;
- The smooth operation of the culinary function
- Management and rota scheduling
- Creative menu planning
- HACCP and Hygiene
- Stock ordering, rotation and stocktakes
- Supplier / Ingredient sourcing
- Training
- Health & Safety
- Customer Satisfaction and Quality maintenance
- Reactive to customer feedback
- Maintain personal knowledge by completing in house / External training
- Adherence to our company policies, procedures, and Food Safety Legislation
- Involvement and contribution to team meetings
- Carry out instructions given by the management
- Forward thinking and planning

Specification
- NVQ + in catering a Food Safety
- 4 years+ served in a busy culinary environment with 2 years+ holding a similar role
- Proven success of operating a successful kitchen with 5* Hygiene Rating
- Understanding of Current Market Trends and adaptation into culinary operations
- A full clean drivers licence may be considered advantageous
