We are keen to appoint a Sous Chef, to join our current team in our culinary operation. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef and deputise in all aspects of the culinary function, from the organisation of the kitchen to the sourcing of suppliers to a creative menu design, to enhance the overall dining experience for our customers.

This is a Full-time position working up to 42 hours a week . Candidates must be Flexible and available to work at busy peak periods and holiday times, working on a rota basis from Wednesday to Sunday in a busy environment, will involve Function work.

To provide professional, efficient and exquisite Culinary experience to our customers.

The role will involve;

  • The smooth operation of the culinary function
  • Involvment in Menu planning and creativity
  • HACCP and Hygiene
  • Stock ordering, rotation and stocktakes
  • Supplier / Ingredient sourcing
  • Health & Safety
  • Customer Satisfaction and Quality Assurance and maintenance
  • Reactive to customer feedback
  • Maintain personal knowledge by completing in house / External training
  • Always adhere to our company policies and procedures, and Food Safety Legislation
  • Be involved and contribute to team meetings
  • Carry out instructions given by the management team
  • Forward thinking and planning
  • Covid-19 regulation compliance

The successful candidate should have:

  • NVQ + in catering a Food Safety
  • 2 years+ served in a busy culinary environment 
  • Proven success of operating in a successful kitchen with 5* Hygiene Rating
  • Understanding of Current Market Trends and adaptation into culinary operations
  • A full clean drivers licence may be considered advantageous
